As you can tell from the pic above Avery is back on oxygen. She did great without it but at certain times she needed a little help. She's on the lowest possible setting so it's hardly any. She can go home on it and I think she will go home on it. We will see, she may surprise us?
She's getting every feed by bottle starting today, but she still has her NG tube just in case she's too sleepy to finish her bottle they can put what's left in her tube. That way she still gets her full feed.
She now weighs 6lbs 7oz. She's on lasix to get rid of extra fluid. Sometimes she would get a little puffy and her blood pressure would be a little elevated so the lasix helps with both.
Her Dr. actually called her chubby which made me happy. He lowered the amount of calories/day she was getting so she doesn't gain weight as quickly. For a little while she was gaining 2 or 3 ounces a day so now she's back to gaining an ounce a day.
She's 16 weeks old and doing wonderful, I am so proud of her.
